Getting Started

Free

New to PrepMyRez? Here's how to go from signup to your first AI-tailored resume in under 5 minutes.

What Is This?

PrepMyRez is a career acceleration platform — not just a resume builder. You start by filling your Master Profile (once), then reuse it across every resume, cover letter, and interview. The AI tailors your existing profile to each specific job description you're applying for.

How to Use

1

Sign up with your email

Visit prepmyrez.com and click Get Started or Start Growing. Enter your email — we'll send a one-time login code. No passwords to remember.

2

Fill your Master Profile

After logging in, you'll land on the Dashboard. The Master Profile form is right there — switch between its tabs to fill in your personal details, education, experience, skills, projects, and achievements.

3

Create your first resume

Click 'New Resume' in the dashboard navigation. Pick a template you like. Then paste a job description and click 'Tailor with AI' — the AI will rewrite your profile to match that specific job.

4

Download and apply

Preview your resume and download as PDF. Your resume is ATS-optimized by default — no extra steps needed.

What to Expect

  • Signup takes 30 seconds (email + OTP, or Google)
  • Master Profile takes 10-15 minutes to fill properly
  • AI resume tailoring takes 15-30 seconds
  • You get a polished, ATS-ready PDF instantly

Good to Know

  • PrepMyRez is a career tools platform, not a job placement service — it won't find or apply to jobs for you.
  • The quality of AI output depends on the quality of your input. A thorough Master Profile produces noticeably better results.

Tips & Common Mistakes

Tip 1

Fill your Master Profile completely before creating resumes. The more data the AI has, the better your tailored output.

Tip 2

Use specific numbers in your experience (e.g., 'Increased sales by 23%' instead of 'Increased sales'). The AI works best with concrete achievements.

Tip 3

Don't skip the Projects section — they're used across multiple features, including interview preparation.
