1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PrepMyRez ("PrepMyRez", "we", "us", or "our") and any related services, websites, or applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Scope

The Service is primarily intended for users located in India, but may be accessed from other countries. Regardless of your location, by using the Service you agree that these Terms apply to you and that any use is at your own initiative and risk.

You represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.

3. Description of Service

PrepMyRez is an AI-assisted resume-building and resume-tailoring tool. The Service allows you to create, edit, and tailor resumes using your own information, our templates, and AI-assisted rewriting based on job descriptions you provide. We offer free and paid access tiers as described on our website.

We may add, modify, or remove features from time to time, including but not limited to resume templates, AI features, and related career tools such as cover letter drafting or interview preparation, without prior notice.

4. User Accounts and Security

To use certain parts of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any authentication method associated with your account (for example, one-time passwords or third-party login methods) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access or use of your account.

5. Plans, Payments, and Credits

PrepMyRez currently offers a free plan and one or more paid monthly plans (collectively, "Paid Plans"). The details of each plan, including available AI credits, features, and current pricing, are described on our website or within the Service.

• Prepaid, non-recurring: Paid Plans are generally offered on a prepaid, non-recurring basis. You pay upfront for a fixed duration of access (for example, one month).
• No automatic renewal: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, your Paid Plan will not renew automatically. When your plan period ends, your account may revert to the free plan, and access to certain paid features or credits may be reduced or removed.
• AI credits: Certain features, such as "Tailor with AI", consume AI credits. One AI credit is typically used for one AI-powered resume tailoring operation, unless otherwise indicated in the Service. Unused credits do not roll over to future plan periods.
• Pricing changes: Prices for Paid Plans and features are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and may change from time to time. We may modify pricing and plan structures at our discretion. Any change will apply to future purchases and will not retroactively affect a plan you already paid for.

Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. By making a purchase, you agree to their applicable terms, conditions, and privacy practices. We do not store your complete payment card details on our own servers.

6. Refunds

Because the Service is a digital, access-based and usage-based product, all purchases are generally non-refundable. Once you purchase a Paid Plan or use AI credits, you are not entitled to a refund for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Not securing a job or interview
• Not using all available features or credits during the plan period
• Changing your mind after purchase

In rare and exceptional cases involving clear technical issues solely attributable to the Service, we may, at our sole discretion, consider a partial or full refund or a credit adjustment. Any such decision will be final and does not create an obligation to provide similar remedies in the future.

7. User Content and Profile Data

"User Content" includes any information, text, data, resume content, job descriptions, or other materials you provide, upload, paste, or otherwise make available through the Service.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the Service, you grant PrepMyRez a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Service, including AI-assisted resume generation and tailoring.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of your User Content. You represent and warrant that your User Content does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party and complies with applicable law.

8. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities

You agree not to misuse the Service. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you must not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purpose
• Upload or submit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or that promotes hatred or violence
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems, or interfere with their normal operation
• Copy, scrape, download at scale, or attempt to reverse engineer our templates, user interface, or underlying systems
• Use automated tools (such as bots or scripts) to access or interact with the Service in a way that could disrupt or overload our systems
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any usage limits, credit limits, security features, or access controls

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive or fraudulent behavior, or otherwise pose a risk to the Service or other users.

9. AI-Generated Content and No Job Guarantees

The Service uses AI models to assist with rewriting and tailoring resume content based on the information you provide and the job descriptions you paste. The AI does not intentionally create new qualifications or experiences that you did not provide, but it may prioritize, rephrase, or selectively highlight certain parts of your information.

Page-Length Behavior While users can choose a preferred resume length (such as one page or two pages), PrepMyRez does not guarantee that the AI-generated output will always match the selected length. The AI may adjust the final length based on the amount of user-provided information and the relevance required for the job description. AI-generated resumes are not editable after creation, and users should review the preview carefully before choosing to use “Tailor with AI,” which consumes credits. If a strict one-page format is required, users are encouraged to download the manual version instead of the AI-generated version.

You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated or AI-tailored content before using it in any job application or professional context. You must ensure that the final resume accurately reflects your skills, experience, and qualifications and does not contain false or misleading information.

PrepMyRez does not guarantee that using the Service will result in any particular outcome, including job offers, interviews, responses from employers, or career advancement. Hiring decisions are made solely by third-party employers, and we are not responsible for any decisions or actions they take.

10. Storage, Downloads, and Inactive Accounts

While we may store your profile information and User Content to provide the Service, we generally do not store completed, fully generated resumes indefinitely for later re-download. You are responsible for downloading and securely storing your final resume files (for example, in PDF format) once they are generated.

We may, in accordance with our internal policies, delete or anonymize user accounts and associated data after a period of prolonged inactivity. If you wish to have your account or certain data deleted sooner, you may contact us using the email address provided at the bottom of these Terms.

11. Third-Party Services and AI Providers

We rely on third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, AI processing, and other infrastructure necessary to operate the Service. These providers may process or temporarily log data, including User Content, as part of providing their services.

While we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers, we do not control and are not responsible for the actions, security practices, or policies of third-party providers. Your use of the Service constitutes your acknowledgment that your data may be processed by these third parties in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding data handling, the Privacy Policy will generally govern.

13. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding User Content) are and will remain the exclusive property of PrepMyRez and its licensors. This includes, without limitation, the design, layout, templates, trademarks, logos, and underlying software.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial job search or career development purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of any software used in the Service, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by law.

14. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep the Service available and running smoothly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or events beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall PrepMyRez, its owners, operators, or collaborators be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with:

• Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on or related to the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service, including AI-generated content
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

In any case, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service shall be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PrepMyRez and its owners, operators, and collaborators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your use of the Service
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by informal negotiations. If the dispute is not resolved within a reasonable time, it shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration conducted in India, in accordance with applicable arbitration laws and procedures. The language of the arbitration shall be English. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding, and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may also provide additional notice (such as a banner or notification within the Service).

By continuing to access or use the Service after any changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
