When you purchase a paid plan, payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors. We receive limited information about your transaction status (for example, payment success or failure), but we do not store your full payment card details on our own systems.
2.3 Usage data and technical information

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to support the functioning of the Service. For example, we may use these technologies to:
- Keep you signed in or manage session authentication
- Temporarily store draft resume or profile information before you save it
- Help secure your account and prevent misuse
We currently use these mechanisms primarily for essential and functional purposes, not for targeted advertising. You can usually control cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings, but disabling certain features may affect how the Service functions.

4. AI Processing
When you use AI-assisted features (such as "Tailor with AI"), the information you provide (for example, your resume content and job descriptions) may be sent to third-party AI processing services that help generate rewritten or optimized content.
These third-party AI providers may process or temporarily log the data they receive as part of delivering their services. While we seek to work with reputable providers, we do not control their internal data handling practices. Your use of AI features constitutes your acknowledgment that such processing may occur.
We do not intend for AI-generated content to invent new qualifications or experiences you did not provide. However, you are solely responsible for reviewing the final content and ensuring that it accurately reflects your skills and experience before using it in any real-world application.
5. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)
Where applicable under relevant data protection laws, we may process your information based on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Your consent (for example, when you provide information to build your profile or resume)
- Our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing the Service
- Performance of a contract (for example, providing access to paid features you have purchased)
- Compliance with legal obligations, where required
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use third-party service providers to help us operate and support the Service (for example, hosting, authentication, payment processing, infrastructure, AI processing, and basic analytics). These providers may process your information on our behalf and are generally permitted to use it only as necessary to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Protection of rights: We may disclose information where we believe it is necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, protect our rights, property, or safety, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
If your account remains inactive for an extended period, we may, in accordance with our internal policies, delete or anonymize your account and associated data. In general, we may delete accounts that have not been actively used for several months after the expiration of any paid plan.
Even after account deletion or anonymization, we may retain limited information (such as logs or records) for a reasonable period where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance purposes.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information. Regardless of your location, we aim to offer the following basic controls:
- Access and update: You may view and update certain profile and resume information directly through the Service.
- Account and data deletion: If you wish to request deletion of your account or specific personal information, you can contact us at the email address listed in the "Contact Us" section below. We will assess and process such requests in line with applicable laws and our internal policies.
- Communication preferences: We may send you transactional emails (such as OTPs for login or important service updates). We do not currently send promotional or marketing emails. If this changes in the future, we will provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms.
- Cookies and local storage: Most browsers allow you to control cookies and similar technologies through their settings. Disabling certain features may affect how the Service works.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information. Although the Service is primarily targeted at users in India, your information may be stored and processed in other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your country of residence.
By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to locations outside your country, subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures may include access controls, encrypted connections, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable laws. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may provide additional notice (such as a banner or notification within the Service).
Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective will constitute your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service.
