Negotiation Coach

Catalyst Plus

Shares your interview session pool — 2 negotiations = 1 interview session. Requires Catalyst Plus (₹499/month).

Practice job-offer negotiations out loud against an AI employer with a confidential constraint sheet. Get a strategy brief first, a voice negotiation second, an honest scorecard after.

What Is This?

The Negotiation Coach is voice practice for the conversation most people wing: the offer. You describe your situation — a screening call, a verbal offer, a letter in hand — and the AI writes you a strategy brief you can edit (target number, walk-away, what to say first). Then you pick one of 9 scenarios and negotiate out loud against an AI employer who has a confidential constraint sheet: real limits you can't see, just like a real employer. After the session you get a two-tier scorecard — negotiation craft and how well you adapted to the person across the table — with tactic replays, the outcome math against what was actually possible, and your next drill.

How to Use

1

Describe your situation

Open the Negotiation Coach from the dock and fill the intake: your stage (screening, verbal offer, or written offer), geography, employer type, what's been communicated so far, and your priorities.

2

Review your strategy brief

The AI generates a brief: your target and walk-away numbers (editable), how your compensation breaks down, likely employer tactics, and opening lines. Adjust anything before you drill.

3

Pick a scenario and difficulty

9 scenarios: Base Salary, Joining Bonus, Work Mode, Notice Buyout, Equity, Competing Offer, the Screening Call (cold drill), Full Negotiation, and Resignation & Counter. Three difficulties: Collaborative, Standard, and Hardball. Sessions run 5 or 10 minutes.

4

Negotiate out loud

The AI employer opens. You speak, they respond. They're playing a persona with a confidential constraint sheet — real bands, budget ceilings, approval rounds you can discover through what you say. Two taps on End finish early.

5

Read your scorecard

Two tiers: craft (anchoring, trades, silence, information control — 5 dimensions) and adaptation (how well you read and adjusted to this employer — 2 dimensions). Plus a tactic replay of key moments with better scripts, the outcome math against what was actually possible, and your recommended next drill.

What to Expect

  • Brief generation takes 10-20 seconds; cached — revisiting the same situation costs nothing
  • Voice sessions of 5 or 10 minutes against a persona with hidden constraints
  • A two-tier scorecard with tactic replays, outcome math, and a next-drill recommendation
  • Up to 10 briefs per day; sessions share your interview pool (2 = 1)

Good to Know

  • This is practice, not legal or financial advice. Real offers involve real documents — read them, and get professional help when it matters.
  • The AI employer doesn't know your real company's actual policies — the constraint sheet is realistic, not psychic.

Tips & Common Mistakes

Tip 1

Do one Full Negotiation at Standard before anything else. It teaches the arc every other scenario is a slice of.

Tip 2

Say actual numbers out loud. Practicing 'I'd want more' trains nothing; 'I was targeting 24 base' trains everything.

Tip 3

Try silence once. When they push back, count three seconds before you speak. Most concessions happen in that gap.

Tip 4

After a Hardball session, re-read the tactic replay — the tactics used on you are the ones to recognize in real life.
